Wow, I'm posting for the first time as a mother of four!!! What an incredible and amazing thing!! We feel so blessed!!!! I still can hardly believe he has arrived. (Khara even told me today that she has pinched herself a hundred times, still can't believe she has a new baby brother ;).
After a little concern about having a bigger than normal baby, my Dr. wanted to have me come in at 39 weeks for induction. We were scheduled to go in Thursday night but Thursday brought lots of ice (again) so we opted to wait until Friday morning to go in. 14 hours later we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy 10 lbs. 1 oz.!! I never would have dreamed...:-) The delivery went incredibly well and quick, my Dr. even said, "God really helped you today." I am still in awe over the whole day and am reminded again of what an amazing creator we serve!!! Mark writes it down as one of the best days of his life, so after Karson was born and I told him I wouldn't mind having 3 or 4 more he took it, umm, decently well. :-)
Meeting Karson for the first time.
One of my wonderful babysitters. I'm still dealing with the "It's my turn to hold him now". :-) They are a wonderful help!!
Ready to come home from the hospital with our little 1 1/2 day old baby.
How's that for a reaction about being put in your car seat for the first time ??
Home Sweet Home.
Today~ finally a fully awake w/eyes open shot! :-)

The New Addition
Karson Brett has arrived!!!! He was born Friday, February 22, at 10:45 pm. Jana and Karson are both doing well and are coming home tomorrow. He weighed 10lbs. and 1oz., and was 22 &1/2 inches long. I'd say Kaden better start eatin' his Wheaties to stay ahead of Karson. Ha Ha! By the looks of the bottom pic., it makes me think that the siblings just might want to keep him! I'm sure that Jana will be posting more pics. soon.

Just A Quick Update...
Just wanted to give a quick update before we (hopefully) have some very exciting news to share. Time has been flying!! We have ALL been plagued with sickness- colds, fevers,etc... ice (again)-Kelsey was out of school two days last week, Khara was out for three and now I think we are finally on the mend with everything just in time for the arrival of the baby. Only 4 days until the due date!!!!!
Oh, and you might find this interesting,...I had an ultrasound last week to check the babies placement and weight. Placement is correct, thank the Lord, and for the weight...remember ultrasounds say give or take a pound....9lbs. 4ozs. :-)
What we've been up to:
Addressing those Valentine cards. "Mom, which one should I give____? Have a Willi-Wonka Valentine's Day, or you Razzle Me, Dazzle Me!! ?" :-)
Constructing the Valentines Boxes. Just a little FYI for all those teachers out there, if you can make these boxes at school... Parents really appreciate it!! :-) No, we did enjoy making them: glitter, glue, tissue paper,... any childs "hay-day"!! :-) Another not so good pic. of Khara, I'm sure she will be thrilled that I posted these.
The completed projects! Khara's class had a contest. She was happy to come home and tell us that she was one of the winners!!!
It's that time of the year again:
Khara, Kelsey, and Kaden have been LOVING barn time at Grandpa and Grandma Englunds!!!!! These are just a couple of pics. Mark took. I hope to get a lot more in a couple of weeks. Because of the baby, I have not been able to go out there yet. Sheep can carry diseases that affect expectant women. My dad is extremely cautious in that area, for which I am thankful, so I will get my glimpse at the full barns in a week or so. I think the count yesterday was 166 lambs and he is about 40% done. A very neat time of year!! Khara told me last night that she thought it would be awesome to wake up in a barn. :-)

Cinnamon Rolls--part 2
Here's the recipe girls~ enjoy!!
I used about 1/3 c. of sugar instead of just 2T. It took about 7 cups of flour rather than just 6 to get a soft dough. Also, I did not have cream cheese on hand so I just made a regular vanilla frosting (I LOVE cr. cheese frosting, but my kids are not fond of it so I'm sure they went over better w/o.)
Oh, and please do not ask how many we have left. :-) Mark had one, okay~some, when he got home from work yesterday, he had one after church last night, and left with a warmed one as part of his breakfast this morning. Yes, I will be making these again....

Just What The Dr. Ordered??
We woke up this morning to low temps. and snow. That always signals to me, a great day to bake!! I tried a new recipe for cinnamon rolls and am very pleased with the results!!! I had just taken them out of the oven when Khara got home and she asked me to leave one pan unfrosted. Talk about a soft roll, wow!! The filling is darker because it is all brown sugar and cinnamon, no white--yum, yum. :-)
Unfrosted
Frosted
I considered freezing one pan, before letting them raise for the last time, for future use but then decided against it. Khara, Kelsey, and Kaden just finished enjoying them for their afternoon snack and well, let's just say there is not a chance that we will have stale cinnamon rolls sitting around our house in a couple of days. Definitely a keeper recipe!!!
