Today was Khara's 1st grade class Easter Party. I volunteered to bring snacks and attend to help out. I tried to think of a snack that was cute and also appealed to children. With the help of one of my 150 cookie cutters, I made Rice Krispie Rabbits.
It was a chilly 33 degrees, but they still went outside for the egg hunt. I think kids seldom think it is to cold to go out. And, what would an Easter Party be without an egg hunt??
Now I'm off to do a marathon house cleaning!! My sister Dana flew in from Alabama Thursday (yeah!!!) and the kids all wanted to go with her out to grandma's this afternoon. We will see how much I can get done in oh, maybe an hour. ( I don't want to take advantage too much...) :-)
My brother Jeff and Vicki and their four children are coming tomorrow (another, yeah!!!). It should be a wonderful Easter weekend!!

Your treats were so cute and creative! I added you to my link list on my site, I hope that is ok. I am really enjoying connecting with others with similar lives. Have a very blessed Easter!
Wow - looks like another fun party! Those treats are cute as can be - that had to take a while. :-)
Very cute rice crispy treats! I never thought of using a cookie cutter on them.
How long did it take for the egg hunt to be over? 30 seconds or less? That's what dawned on me this year--how much preparation is put into it for about, yeah, 30 seconds!
Love the treats! I'll have to try that idea.
Carrie-
An idea for a longer hunt is to write their name on the eggs. They can only get the eggs with their name. That makes for a 2 min. hunt rather than 20 sec. :-)
